Having been involved in three TEDxBristol events, two TEDxYouth@Bath events and being a part of TED2012, it is with reluctance that I’ve decided not to curate next year’s TEDxBristol. There is so much more I wanted to do, but ultimately I’m under no illusion how much time and work it is to put these events together and other priorities mean that I know I wouldn’t be able to do it justice this year.
However, I will be remaining involved with the TEDx program as a mentor and will be providing support, resources and experience to a number of UK TEDx events including Bristol. Once the application window opens the TEDxBristol licence will be available, anyone wishing to apply will need to have attended a TED, TED Global or TED Active event. I encourage anyone with the vision, dedication and time to carry the baton for this year’s event. Should the position be left unfilled then TEDxBristol will use this year as a break and return in 2015.
